Grading Guidelines
Primary grades are the core criteria in which games are graded. These will be the essentials of either good or bad reviews and will be added and averaged to find the average score. Additional metrics, such as optional grades and bonuses, will also then be factored in to find the total score.

Optional grades can be selected for review in the submission form that is sent. These grades will be averaged into the total score the same as primary grades and may help to buffer some of the worse scores you get from the primary grades.
📜 Story: Judges the writing ability of the author including usage of correct grammar, logical flow of ideas, usage of poetic devices such as foreshadowing, imagery, tone, symbolism, etc., and construction and usage of characters.
🖥️ Code: Judges the legibility and neatness of the code backing the game by examining the usage of bundles, labels, and notes, as well as by examining efficient and elegant solutions used to complete tasks.

Bonuses will be added on top of the average grade creating the total score. They will not be averaged in and instead are meant to boost the total score. This means that games with bonuses theoretically could have higher than a 10/10.
Completeness Bonus: Awards up to 1 extra point on top of the total score based on judgements of the games overall completion, length, and content.
